Break & Enter, Theft of Motor Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, Breach Four North Bay men face numerous charges today following a North Bay Police Service break and enter investigation by its Street Crime unit and patrol officers.

Four North Bay men face numerous charges today following a North Bay Police Service break and enter investigation by its Street Crime unit and patrol officers.

Two break and enters occurred at a golf course in Callander: one in the early morning hours of Saturday, June 21 and the other in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 26. Several yard and power tools, gasoline and a golf cart were stolen.

Arrested and charged are:
John Duhaime, age 44, with two counts of break, enter and commit; one count of theft of motor vehicle; and two counts of possession of stolen property.
Michael Duhaime, age 36, with two counts of break, enter and commit; one count of theft of motor vehicle; and two counts of possession of stolen property;
Tracy Roy, age 58, with one count of possession of stolen property; and
Ted Stanley, age 42, with two counts of break, enter and commit; one count of theft of motor vehicle; two counts of possession of stolen property; and one count of breach of probation.

All four were held in custody pending bail hearings.

Street Crime

Following an investigation, the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime Unit charged Jahvon Frederick-Dwyer, age 20, of Scarborough, Ontario on Friday, June 27 for possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance. The seized drugs have an approximate street value of $1,600.

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing. 

Failure to Stop at the Scene of an Accident, Impaired Driving, Fail or Refuse to Provide a Sample, Theft of a Motor Vehicle

On Thursday, June 26 at approximately 4:43 p.m., the North Bay Police Service responded to a call about a motor vehicle collision between a truck and a car at the corner of Lee Avenue and George Street with injuries. It was also reported that there was extensive damage to both vehicles.

While en route to the scene, police were informed that the male driver of one of the vehicles had exited the vehicle and was leaving the scene on foot. Police located the suspect in the area of Nelson Avenue shortly thereafter.

Following an investigation that also revealed that the suspect had taken the vehicle involved in the collision without the owner’s permission, police arrested and charged Ronald Bellaire, age 34, of Callander with one count of fail to stop at scene of accident, one count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle, one count of fail or refuse to provide sample, and one count of theft of a motor vehicle.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The driver of the second vehicle was found to have non-life threatening injuries but was transported to hospital by ambulance for medical attention.
