TRAFFICKING DOWNTOWN
At 10:00 am on June 14th a man was observed by members of the Street Crime Unit to signal a second male to meet him in an alley on the 100 block of Main St E. In the alley officers observed the second male give folded money to the first and receive baggies in return. The men separated and both were arrested a short distance away. The second male was found to be in possession of baggies containing 8 grams of what is believed to be marijuana.
The first male was identified as Scott Penney 38yrs of First Ave. He was found to be in possession of a quantity of folded money and 5 baggies of what is believed to be marijuana. He has been charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
