Child Luring

The North Bay Police Service is currently investigating an incident of Child Luring and is advising all young people to be very diligent when using the social networking services of Facebook.

The North Bay Police Service has received reports of a male representing a modelling agency contacting young females and offering them an all-expenses paid trip to southern Ontario. The subject is also offering to pay a large amount of money.

The North Bay Police Service advises users of Facebook, not to accept friendship requests from unknown users.

If anyone has any information regarding this matter, please contact Detective Constable Roger Drolet or Detective Constable Fernando Cirullo at 705-497-5555.

Take the pledge:
In an effort to put an end to domestic violence in our community, the North Bay Police Service has partnered with the City of North Bay and Nipissing Transition House to engage the citizens of North Bay to be part of the solution and take a stand by taking the pledge.

The One Pledge campaign is built upon the age-old notion that we are stronger together and that individual efforts are the driving force behind moving the goals of the many forward.

We encourage North Bay citizens to take the pledge, online at onepledge.ca or in person at displays throughout the city.

As of today’s date, 1,617 people have taken the pledge. Our goal is to reach 20,000.
