UNWANTED GUEST On the 19th of July it is alleged that a man entered a home uninvited at approximately 3 AM. This man then located another male within the North Bay home and threatened him as well as assaulted him. He then fled the scene.

On the 19th of July it is alleged that a man entered a home uninvited at approximately 3 AM. This man then located another male within the North Bay home and threatened him as well as assaulted him.

He then fled the scene. This was reported to Cst. Stacy Jackson of the North Bay Police Service. A search for the suspect was initiated and a warrant for his arrest was requested.

Later that same day the man in question turned himself in at North Bay Police Headquarters.

Gregory LAFRAMBOISE 47 years old of Lakeshore Dr. is charged with Uttering Threats, Being Unlawfully in a Dwelling House and Assault. He is to attend court on the 28th of Aug.

CONFERENCE IN OCTOBER

The North Bay Police Service being part of the Seniors At Risk Committee of North Bay wish to advise the public that it will be holding a two day conference here in North Bay on Thursday & Friday the 18th & 19th of October.

This conference will have speaker Judith Wahl, executive director with the Advocacy Centre for the Elderly in Toronto, presenting on both days.

Ms. WAHL is a well known speaker on issues affecting the rights of senior adults and consults with various government bodies involved in policy development.

On Thursday the 18th seniors will have a presentation by Ms. WAHL on issues of interest including senior rights.

On Friday the 19th of October, professionals will have various topics covered by Ms WAHL in regards to legal issues as well as responsibilities concerning senior’s care giving.

BREAK & ENTERS

Overnight on the 18th of July thieves forced their way into a garden shed at a Garden Centre beside Greco’s on Lakeshore Dr.

Once inside they stole an older black electric cash register.

During the early morning hours on the 19th of July thieves entered Pete Palangio arena by unknown means. They then ransacked various desks and drawers and broke into several vending machines. An unknown quantity of cash was taken as well as a black/orange camouflage hockey bag with the word “MISSION” printed on the side.
