Alberta Man Charged With Dangerous Driving

Dangerous driving charges have resulted from a dispute that began in the King Street West are of North Bay. Just before midnight on the 6th of August an unwanted male attended a residence and was told to leave. After a brief argument the male subject got into his car drove out onto the roadway. The driver then reversed his pick-up truck at a high rate of speed, striking the victim, who was attempting to flee the area. A 34 year North Bay man was sent to hospital with injuries to his right arm. A 23 year old Alberta man is now charged with Dangerous Driving, and has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Thief Caught in Hockey Dressing Room

On August 6th at approximately 9:00 pm a man was caught going through personal property within a dressing room at Pete Palangio Arena. North Bay Police Service officer, Cst. Kyle Hughes was called to the scene, and through investigation recovered several high-end hockey sticks that had been stolen over the last six months. An 18 year old male now faces charges of theft under $5000 times five, Attempt theft and Possession of Stolen Property. Anyone who has had property stolen over the past 6 months from Pete Palangio arena is asked to contact Cst. Hughes at 497-5555.
