City police charge man with drug trafficking offences

On December 1, officers arrested a 22-year-old man at the intersection of Chippewa and Cassells Streets on drug trafficking charges as part of an investigation.

Searches by police resulted in the seizure of:

  • 26 grams of suspected Fentanyl
  • 6 grams of suspected cocaine
  • Drug trafficking equipment
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • A quantity of cash

The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $15,000.

Jonathan Williams of Toronto, is charged with:

  • Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Two counts of fail to Comply with a probation order

Williams was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
