City Hall stabbing sends one to hospital — police seek suspect

The North Bay Police Service is seeking a suspect, wanted in connection with a stabbing in the parking lot outside North Bay City Hall on Friday, Dec. 29, 2023. 

NBPS reports locating a male victim in a City Hall parking lot with lacerations to his face and head area. He was transported to the hospital, where he
received medical attention for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers were dispatched on the day of the incident to City Hall, located at 200 McIntyre St. East, and responded at approximately 4 p.m. to investigate a possible stabbing.

The suspect in this incident is described as a male of medium to heavier build, with a salt and pepper goatee, wearing a black toque, camouflage winter coat, blue jeans, tan Timberland-like boots, and carrying a backpack with “Gymshark” in large colourful lettering written vertically on the backpack.

The North Bay Police Service’s Criminal Investigations Unit is continuing with the investigation.
