One person was arrested and charged with several offences after a domestic incident in Nipissing Township.
On February 8 just after 6 a.m., the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police attended a residence in Nipissing Township regarding an allegation of a domestic assault.
Officers attended the residence, and one person was arrested.
As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old person was arrested and charged for the following:
- Assault - spousal (two counts)
- Mischief - destroys or damages property
- Uttering threats - cause death or bodily harm
- Uttering threats - damage or injure an animal
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay sometime in February 2024.
The identity of the accused will not be released to protect the identity of the victim.
