Assault and weapons offences laid against North Bay man

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack

Just after midnight this morning, North Bay police officers responded to a report of a knife attack at a home on King Street West. The attacker fled the area prior to police arriving but was found on Fifth Avenue West.

The man was arrested and charged and s search found an edged weapon.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack say police, and the accused knows the victim.

Brandon Robert Leblond, 32, of North Bay is charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault causing bodily harm
  • Carrying concealed weapon

Leblond is being held pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
