The West Parry Sound Detachment of the OPP concluded the Festive Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) campaign with multiple charges laid.
The Festive R.I.D.E campaign ran from November 16, 2023, to January 1, 2024, with members completing multiple R.I.D.E checks during that time.
Results of the campaign include:
- 61 R.I.D.E checks conducted
- 11 Impaired driving charges
- One Warn range suspension
The West Parry Sound OPP would like to thank the community for driving safe and sober over the holiday season. Police also would like to remind the public that if they suspect a driver may be impaired to call 9-1-1.
