PoliticsNOW, a Northern Ontario-based political collective that seeks to amplify and empower the voices of women in politics has created a resource called ElectNOW 2022, an opportunity for those who identify as women and are running in the current election to speak in their own words about what matters to them.

In the questionnaire, PoliticsNOW asked the women candidates about their platforms, values, and what representation means to them.

There are women from across northern Ontario included in the list and they are broken down by city, and by position.

You can find the full list here.

There are two women running for mayor, or head of council in Sudbury — Miranda Rocca-Cicerellli and Evelyn Dutrisac — who both have features in the section.

There are also women running for mayor in North Bay, Kirkland Lake, Timmins and Elliot Lake who are profiled.

Profiles of women running for council in northern Ontario include those from North Bay, Dryden, Kenora, and Thunder Bay, as well as Sudbury.

There is also a list of women running for School Board Trustee in northern Ontario, and that list can be found here.

If you are running in Northern Ontario and have not been included in this list, You can find our candidate survey here. PoliticsNOW will include your answers, but ask for 3-5 days to format answers and post them on their website.
