DRISCOLL, Lillian Bernice (nee Sykes)

Beloved wife of the late Joseph Driscoll, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre, Lethbridge, Alberta on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at the age of 82 years. She is survived by her children; Vaughan (Bob) Coupland of Lethbridge, Jo-Anne (Duane) Taylor of Grand Cayman, Dan (Arlene) Driscoll of Edmonton, Bob (Maureen) Driscoll of Calgary, Pat (Shari) Driscoll of Yellowknife, Tim (Denise) Driscoll of Lethbridge and Kelly (Jim) Slavich, grandchildren; Christopher (Charlotte) Beadle, Zachary (Brandee) Coupland, Sean (Melissa) Driscoll, Kynan Coupland, Geordan Coupland, Joey Driscoll, Eryn (Josh) Owen, Emma Driscoll, Billi-Rai Driscoll, Taylor Driscoll, Courtney Driscoll and Shelby Slavich and great grandchildren; Sommer Snow, Kalesta Beadle, Timothy Driscoll and Tylen Coupland.



Bernice Driscoll (nee Sykes) was born in North Bay, Ontario. In 1943 she joined the Royal Canadian Navy as a WREN (Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service). While serving in the Navy she met Joseph. They were married in June 1946 and moved to Yellowknife where they lived and raised their seven children. In 1963 the family relocated to Lethbridge, Alberta. Bernice was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Sykes of North Bay. She is survived by her sister Florence Thwaites of Simcoe, Ontario and Tom Sykes of North Bay, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, her sisters Helen and Pearl and her brothers Eric and Melvin.



A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Monday, January 22, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. In Memory of Bernice, donations may be made in her name to The Hospital for Sick Children, 555 University Avenue, Toronto, ON, M5G 1X8.
