A single motor vehicle accident Sunday on Hwy 11 N. at Thibeault Hill has left a Southern Ontario man dead. Pierre Gagnon, 22, of Port Colborne, was pronounced dead at North Bay General Hospital shortly after being transported by ambulance.

The North Bay detachment of the O.P.P. is currently investigating two overnight break and enters in Powassan. Thieves broke into the Powassan Arena and the Windsor Hotel. It is not yet known what, if anything, was stolen.
