A single motor vehicle accident Sunday on Hwy 11 N. at Thibeault Hill has left a Southern Ontario man dead. Pierre Gagnon, 22, of Port Colborne, was pronounced dead at North Bay General Hospital shortly after being transported by ambulance.

Sergeant Greenwood of the O.P.P. Regional Control Centre reports a very quiet twenty-four hour period in the North Bay area. The O.P.P. has nothing to report today.

The North Bay detachment of the O.P.P. is currently investigating two overnight break and enters in Powassan. Thieves broke into the Powassan Arena and the Windsor Hotel. It is not yet known what, if anything, was stolen.

GENERATOR AND OUTBOARD STOLEN IN BREAK-IN Mattawa OPP is investigating a break-in to a cabin that occurred some time between Thursday Sept. 25 and Friday Oct. 10, 2003, on Cauchon Lake located near the end of Daventry Road, Boyd, Township.

BOAT TRAILER STOLEN (Loring, ON) Powassan OPP is investigating the theft of a boat trailer stolen from a landing to Toad Lake at the end of Pine Grove Road, Wilson Township near Loring, Ontario.
