Funeral plans for young figure skater

It is with great sadness the family announces the unexpected passing in Hudson Hope British Columbia on Tuesday, August 11, of Brienne Longpre at the tender age of 17 years.

It is with great sadness the family announces the unexpected passing in Hudson Hope British Columbia on Tuesday, August 11, of Brienne Longpre at the tender age of 17 years.

Brienne attended Ecole Secondaire Algonquin and was an avid softball player and a Canskate assistant at the North Bay Figure Skating Club.

Brienne was passionate about playing the piano and looked forward to playing at the Kiwanis Festival, she was also a volunteer at Cassellholme Home for the Aged.

Family will be receiving visitors at McGuinty Funeral Home on Thursday August 20, from 1 – 4 & 6-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Name of Jesus Church on August 21st, at 10:30 am.

Dearly loved daughter of Vincent ‘Vince’ and Lynne (nee Massicotte). Cherished sister of Nadine. Brienne will be sadly missed by her grandparents; Freda and Ghislain Massicotte, Pearl Toews and Marilyn Longpre (nee Levert). Sadly miss by Aunt Carole Massicotte Barnes (Robert), Aunt Louise (Brett), “Uncle” Derek (Caroline), Uncle Gerald (Amber), Uncle George (Lori), Uncle Donald Pellerin (Cindy), Uncle Richard  Kean and her cousins; Matthew and Jacob Barnes, Mikayla and Hannah Longpre, George Jr., Michelle and Stephanie Longpre, and Devon Pellerin. Predeceased by her grandpa; George Aime.

Brienne will be sadly missed by numerous great Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends.

Due to flower allergies, donations to the North Bay Softball Association or The North Bay Figure Skating Club would be gratefully appreciated by her family.
