The Office of the Fire Marshal and police are still investigating the cause of a fire yesterday morning in Dunchurch, approximately an hours drive southwest of North Bay.
OPP responded to a 9-1-1 call about a fire at a home on York Street.
Two occupants were at home at the time, and managed to escape the laze.
However, both were taken to hospital where they are being treated for their injuries.
An OPP spokesman says damage is substantial and the house will probably need to be torn down.
Police, Whitestone and McKellar Fire Departments and Emergency Medical Services all responded.
