On October 24, Powassan OPP were asked to help a MTO inspector with a vehicle stop at the scales on Highway 11 in Callander.

A safety check was being conducted on the vehicle. 

The Hyundai Sante Fe was severely tilted backwards.

Further investigation revealed that the driver and passengers had gone to a railway line on Highway 522 and loaded up 205 metal plates, each weighting 22.5 lbs into the vehicle.

The plates were stamped with CN.

Dawn Baxter, age 38, Ovila Marleau, age 46, and Billy Paton, age 25 all of North Bay have been charged with "possession of property obtained by crime".
