Jay Aspin, Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming, is bringing a special touch from Ottawa to North Bay’s annual Christmas Walk, which is celebrating its silver anniversary this year.
Close to his Ottawa apartment in the Byward Market in Ottawa there is a special outlet that sells the Ottawa famous ”Beavertails”.
Beavertails are a favourite with locals and tourists alike especially during Winterfest on the canal which transforms itself into the longest skating surface in the world.
“This year as a special treat for the 25th anniversary of our Christmas Walk I thought I would bring Beavertails to the Bay to give everyone a taste of Ottawa!” said MP Aspin.
On MP Aspin’s invitation Beavertails will be available in North Bay on Nov. 22nd and New Liskeard on Nov. 29th.
At the North Bay Christmas Walk the Beavertail trailer will operate in front of MP Aspin’s constituency office on 133 Main St. West.
The Christmas Walk is set to begin at 6pm on Friday, Nov. 22nd.
