Young Americans to return to the Bay Reminder

The California-based performing group 'The Young Americans' will be making a stop in North Bay next weekend to work with local students as part of their international music outreach program.

Young Americans, founded in 1962 by Milton C. Anderson, added the outreach program in 1992 is a comprehensive arts workshop brings the joy of explore everything from vocal techniques, dance, and comedy improvisation, to stage movement, sound, lighting, and more to students while learning to work together, respect each other’s strengths, and discover their own potential - all through music and dance.

Following the 3-day intensive training the 80 local students, grades 3 to grade 12, will demonstrate what they have learned in a spectacular show at Widdifield Secondary School on November 19th at 6:00 p.m.

This year the Young Americans workshop will feature Widdifield alumnus Natasha Giroux (pictured) who has been with the company after a successful audition during the company’s last visit to the Bay three years ago.

Past participants say the program has had a significant impact on their lives and say don't miss this opportunity.

Tickets for the Tuesday, November 19th finale are $8.00 students and $10.00 for adults and will be available at the door 320 Ski Club Road.
