Torches for Toonies cancelled for now

The North Bay Police Service wishes to advise both the media and the general public that although we had intended on participating with North Bay Walmart on this fundraiser, it is presently cancelled for now.

Walmart had intended to hold a charity drive during this weekend as well as next weekend in their North Bay store. However, because of the current crisis in Haiti,
Walmart has decided to postpone the Toonies for Torches until this late Spring. Instead they will be concentrating on raising funds for the Haitian relief effort.
