Kevin Callan, well known canoeing author and humourist, will be speaking at this year's Friends of La Vase Portages Canoe Night, Friday, April 17, 7:00 p.m. at the Nipissing University theater.

Inventor of such great canoeing traditions as the bush martini and Bailey's muffins, Kevin will be sharing his presentation titled "Wilderness Pleasures" that highlights the beauty and the lighter side of enjoying the great Canadian outdoors. Quoting great Canadian authors like Pierre Burton whose definition of a Canadian is being "someone who knows how to make love in a canoe", it should be an enjoyable and colourful presentation. There is no charge for admission.

There will be an additional presentation "10 Days from Chiniguchi to Obabika" for those interested in learning more about one of the area's lesser know but beautiful canoe routes that lies between Sudbury and Temagami and an update on the past year's activities on La Vase Portages and this years Canoe Day.
