The students at E.T. Carmichael Public School recently celebrated a big event at the school on Chapais Street.

The students had the pleasure of an afternoon Carnaval which tied into part of their French learning unit.

They took in a number of activities that included a café, outdoor sporting events, as well as a visit by "Bonhomme Carnaval".

French teacher Carrie Culhane says the Carnaval ties into everything her students have learned to date and that they tend to retain the information because they are having fun.
