As much as I cherished our dog I would never ask any of our volunteer firefighters to risk their lives for a pet. They risk so much for us in other ways

These dedicated volunteers will readily accept more duties and the responsibilities that come along with it if they are properly trained, outfitted, and supported by the community that they protect
