Trappers gain weekend split (new)
Two games don’t make a season, but the North Bay Trappers are way ahead of last year’s pace in the Great North Midget League. The Trappers opened the season in Sault Ste. Marie on the weekend and came away with a split.

Lady Panthers drop pair of games (new)
The Canadore College Lady Panthers lost a pair of games in Ontario Colleges Athletic Association women’s fastball Saturday. The Windsor St. Clair Sain ts won the opener 3-2 at Kelly Field and completed the sweep with a 7-1 victory.
