The Nipissing Alouettes are having open tryouts Tuesday, August 28th at 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, August 29th at 7:30 p.m. at the Verner arena. Alouettes officials say they have a few spots to fill at forward and defence only. The cost is $10.

The Runway Romp Motorcycle Festival is returning the weekend of September 8th & 9th, 2007 to the North Bay Jack Garland Airport for its 7th year.

It's only training camp but the North Bay Trappers have already lost a member of their new coaching staff.

Although the scene at the Memorial Gardens was reminiscent of the famous “Fog Game” of the 1975 Stanley Cup Finals, it was clear to see that those trying to crack the North Bay Skyhawks lineup were giving it their all Thursday evening.
