Snow Wars wrapped up at Laurentian Ski Hill on Saturday afternoon as 50 entrants strutted their stuff in the snow. In the female category Caitlin Davison finished in first place. Owen Lajeunesse captured the title in the Skier Category.

VALLEY, Utah – With victories at the previous two Word Cup stops, North Bay's Steve Omischl seemed to be suffering from "burn out" on Friday as he placed ninth at the Deer Valley Freestyle FIS competition held in the evening.

A.J. Shiverdecker and newcomer Justin Villeneuve each had a goal and two assists to lead the North Bay Skyhawks to a 6-0 shutout over the Manitoulin Islanders on Friday night in Little Current.

It was a real honour this summer for Ann-Renee' Guillemette when her hockey team announced that the senior blue-liner would be the captain of the ECAC team. Little did she know that the “C” she would be sporting would be on a Pink Yale jersey.

Last Sunday the North Bay Firefighters were challenged to a hockey game by the North Bay North Stars special needs hockey team. The game was to help prepare the North Stars for their upcoming tournament in April.

Laurentian Ski Hill officials just announced that due to the continued high winds, the hill will remain closed for the rest of the day and evening. Officials hope to open for business Thursday morning as long as mother nature cooperates.
