North Bay Trappers forward Mitchell Davis has been selected by the Erie Otters with the 203rd overall pick in the 11th round of the annual OHL Draft. The North Bay Trappers forward was named the Great North Midget League's rookie of the year.

The Knowlton Ridge Equestrian Centre is pleased to be hosting a Trillium Level Equestrian Event. The show will take place on Saturday, May 3rd & Sunday, May 4th, 2008.

According to a number of OHL and junior hockey scouts, Mitchell Davis will be the only North Bay area player drafted on Saturday during the 2008 OHL Priority Selection.

Chris Hodges scored 5 goals leading the West Ferris Trojans to a 6-1 victory over the Chippewa Raiders in NDA Senior Boys Soccer action on Thursday at West Ferris. Shayne Karn had the other Trojans goal.

Two members from Apollo gymnastics club, Jen Lavigne and Nathan Swain, competed in the Ontario Provincial championships for power tumbling over the past couple of days. The event took place at Seneca sports center in Toronto.

The St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Bears edged the Widdifield Wildcats 3-2 in NDA Jr. Boys Soccer action at Widdifield S.S. on Wednesday. Tyler Geike, Joe Poeta and Alex Zimbalatti scored for the Bears.

Seventeen 11 & under T-Bird swimmers participated in the Top Fish meet held at the CFB pool this weekend. Seventy-five personal best times were posted by the tiny T-Birds.

The feud between High School Hockey and the North Bay Trappers appears to be heating up again. In the past the Trappers brass led by Larry Keenan has complained publicly about High school teams going after Trappers prospects during training camp.
