World and Olympic Skaters to hold clinic in North Bay

North Bay and area figure skaters will have the exciting opportunity to attend the “Celebration on Ice Skating Clinic” being held in North Bay September 1st, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Memorial Gardens (Registration begins at 8 a.m.).

Brian Orser and Josee Chouinard, two world renowned skaters will facilitate the Skating Clinic. Brian Orser is a World Champion Skater, Two time Olympic Silver Medalist, Eight time Canadian Champion and the Choreographer of the “Celebration on Ice” production that made a stop here in North Bay during their tour last March. Joining Orser is Three time Canadian Champion, Five time Canadian Pro Champion, Josee Chouinard.

The clinic is open to STARSkate (recreational) figure skaters working towards the Preliminary Level Freeskate test and higher right through to Elite Level Competitive skaters. The on-ice clinic will also include off-ice instruction in stretching, lunch and discussion with the celebrity skaters. Cost of the clinic is $100 plus GST. Skate Canada Coaches may attend free of charge.
