This past weekend, the Widdifield Wildcats Junior Girls Basketball team went to Olympia Sports Camp in Huntsville to compete in the Olympia Fall Classic tournament, while participating in many team building activities such as a basketball skills clinic with Megan Reid, who is currently an Assistant Coach for Women’s Basketball at the University of Guelph.

The Wildcats went 3-0 to capture the Junior Girls Olympia Fall Classic Championship. In the second game, Widdifield defeated Assumption Catholic Secondary School as Carlie Pappano contributed with 22 points followed by Zenna Hilliard with 13. 

In the last game, the Wildcats beat Dr. John M. Denison Secondary School. Hilliard led the team with 14 points followed by Melanie Brouse with 12 points.
