Hockey Heritage North is paying tribute to the defunct World Hockey Association that operated from 1972-1979 as a rival league to the National Hockey League.

Hockey Heritage North; Canada's only regional hockey hall of fame, is recognizing a number of Northeastern Ontario players who played in the WHA in the 70's.

The display will include WHA memorabilia from a number of Northeastern Ontarians and former local WHLers like Peter Driscoll and Gerry Odrowski.

The HHOF Exhibit changes are the first of many changes to the displays at HHN that will take place over the next few months, as all the Exhibits will be changed over on a regular basis to provide visitors with a fresh new experience at the facility.

Hockey Heritage North will be open for regular hours 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends over the Christmas season. However the HHN will close on Christmas and New Years Day.
