Walters twins shine at York U. Track Meet

West Ferris Secondary Students Matt and Nick Walters competed this past weekend
(April 1 and 2 ) at York University's Invitational High School Indoor Track and
Field meet in Toronto. The twins competed in a field of twenty seven runners from
around the province and finished one - two to win the gold and silver medals in the
junior boys 3000 metre race. Matt ran a personal best 9:32 to win the gold medal
while his brother Nick posted a 9:44 to win the silver. Competing in the junior
boys 1500 metre race with a field of 41 runners the twins finished fourth and fifth

Matt finished in a time of 4:25 and Nick in 4:28. Full results are available at
