Gregory Trudeau-Paquet and Seiji Martone had one goal and one assist each as the Powassan Voodoos defeated the French River Rapids 4-1 at the Noelville Arena on Wednesday night.

Benjamin Naimool opened the scoring on a breakaway seven minutes into the game beating Owen Say.  But that was the last puck that would get by the netminder who just recently returned with a silver medal with Team Canada East at the World Junior A Challenge which wrapped up in Dawson Creek, B.C. on Sunday.   Say made 30 saves in the win.

Raf Praysner and Tomas Yachmenev had the other goals for the Voodoos.

The Voodoos penalty kill was solid on the night as Mat Hardwick was assessed a five minute major in the last six minutes of regulation which the Powassan penalty kills fought off effectively to secure the win.

The Voodoos finish off the 2019 portion of the season on Friday night when they travel to Elliot Lake to face the Wildcats.
