Voodoos announce spring camp

The Powassan Voodoos will be holding their first Spring Prospects Camp on April 28th and 29th at Memorial Gardens in North Bay, Ontario.

The Voodoos are planning for the future while currently prepping for the NOJHL East Division Semi-Finals which will open up next weekend in Powassan.  The Voodoos will host the winner of the best-of-three series between the Timmins Rock and the Hearst Lumberjacks.  

The Rock lead the series 1-0.  

"Like last year, we hope we are still playing hockey in late April while still evaluating talent at a camp," noted Chris Dawson, Voodoos GM & VP of Hockey Operations.  

The Voodoos have openings for local and out-of-town players interested in trying out for the Northern Ontario Junior A Hockey that is the affiliate team with the North Bay Battalion. 

Registration will take place on Saturday, April 28th at 8 a.m. in the front lobby of Memorial Gardens.   

An information session will also be provided for players/parents on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. 

Cost will be $175.00 + HST (Cash, Certified Cheque or Money Order only)

Saturday, April 28th

8:00 a.m. registration 

9 a.m. to 11 p.m. on ice 

Information session 3:30 to 4 p.m. 

5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on ice 

Sunday, April 29th

9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

One on one meetings 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. 

The camp will be available for 2002 to 1998 birth year players.  

Interested players are asked to bring a permission to skate form.

Out of town players are recommended to stay at the Travel Lodge on Lakeshore Drive in North Bay. Players and families attending should ask for the Voodoos rate.  Call 1-855-516-1093.
