Vision U-16 Girls Capture Silver at Bugarski Cup

The Vision U16 Girls’ Volleyball Team, followed their bronze medal performance at the U17 Tournament at Niagara College in Welland, by capturing the silver medal at the U16 Bugarski Cup Championship East Tournament held at Crestwood Secondary School
The Vision U16 Girls’ Volleyball Team, followed their bronze medal performance at the U17 Tournament at Niagara College in Welland, by capturing the silver medal at the U16 Bugarski Cup Championship East Tournament held at Crestwood Secondary School in Peterborough last weekend.

In pool play, the team defeated the Northern Chill from Sudbury and the DRVC 15U from Whitby. Advancing to the elimination match, the girls defeated the Aurora Storm Tsunami in a spirited and highly entertaining match and continued their consistent play by defeating Leaside in the semi-finals before falling to a well-coached and hungry Maverick Trailblazer team from Ottawa 24-26, 15 – 25 in the finals.

The Vision U16 Team has captured 3 O.V.A. medals this season and are preparing for the Ontario Championships in Waterloo in April by playing in another U17 Tournament in Barrie as well as exhibition matches in March.

Team members include Annagh Macie, Kristen Zamperoni, Kate Bowness, Danyka Wall, Julia Allard, Courtney Pappano, Alex Stockfish, Tabitha Tremblay, Kristen Moore and Chelsea Cadieux. The team is coached by Dr. Karen Morris, Len Pappano and John Jeffries.
