Two Vision Volleyball Club teams travelled to Washington DC to participate in the 2019 Capitol Hill Classic. The three day event held over the Presidents Day weekend saw over 960 teams playing on 120 courts.

Both teams had a very successful tournament and their records and final standings reflect that. Vision 14UG competed in the 14 Club Division and finished with a 5th place out of 64 teams. Their record was 7-1, loosing their only match to a very skilled team,

Tribe Volleyball Club out of Florida, who would eventually win Gold in their division. Vision 15UG competed in the 15 Club Division and finished with a 17th place out of 96 teams. Their record was 5-2 and they lost in the semi final match. Both groups faced teams from all over the USA.

Vision head Coach Danny Gosselin is very pleased with how the teams competed and finished at the event in Washington.

"Both teams played very well against some tough USA teams," said Gosselin.

"It’s volleyball unlike anything we see here in Canada. It’s something every team should experience, the volleyball culture is unreal. We saw a lot of great volleyball in Washington."

The two teams next event is an Ontario Volleyball tournament in Newmarket, March 2.
