U18s prevail in battle of the Trappers

U18 Trappers improve to 2-0 to open the season.

The North Bay U18 Trappers scored three times within a four-minute span of the second period as they defeated the North Bay U16 AAA Trappers 5-1 at North Bay's Memorial Gardens on Sunday afternoon. 

Ben Brunton paced the U18's offence with two goals, while linemate Cameron Lockhart contributed three assists. 

Owen Head, Scott Szczygiel, and Liam Starcevic also added singles for the U18 Trappers. 

Carter Brownlee scored the lone goal for the 16 Trappers who fell to 0-2, after dropping a 5-2 decision at the hands of the Sudbury U18 AAA Wolves in Sudbury on Saturday night. 

Logan Coates got the win in goal for the U18 Trappers who improved to 2-0 on the season including a season opening 2-1 win for the Trappers over the New Liskeard Cubs on Friday night.
