The Greater Sudbury Cubs Jr. A Hockey Club are pleased to announce the commitment of 6’1”, 180 lb forward Marshall McCharles. The young 16-year-old prospect was selected in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection by the Sudbury Wolves – 186th overall.

“We are very fortunate to have Marshall join Nolan Newton as our two 16-year-old prospects this season” stated Cubs Head Coach Darryl Moxam.

“Marshall had an outstanding Prospect Camp with us and based on his performance, we were very interested in signing him to a card this season. This is a great opportunity for Marshall’s development as well as for the team’s success.”

McCharles also impressed at the OHL Cup by recording 4 points in 4 games for Team NOHA.

“I am truly honoured to commit to play for the Sudbury Cubs hockey organization this season," noted Marshall McCharles.

“Wearing that blue and white hockey jersey will be quite an honour and I look forward to contributing to the team’s success this season. I believe that we have the talent on the ice and behind the bench to make this a very memorable season.”

The Sudbury Cubs will commence their NOJHL season with a back-to-back HOME double-header games on Thursday, September 8th vs Powassan Voodoos.
