North Bay's Fiona Maude brought home three gold medals from the Canadian National Archery Championship held in Quebec last week.

On top of that, she broke the junior national match play record, tied the senior national match play record and earned a spot on the Senior World Target team.

This means the 19-year-old Chippewa S.S. graduate will be headed to the Senior World Archery Championship in Mexico the week after she competes in the Junior World championship in Argentina, in October.

This is the first time in Canadian history that a female compound archer has made both the senior and junior world team in the same year.

Earlier this summer, Maude broke the Canadian National Field Archery record at an event in Peterborough.
