Tremblay and Hansal medal at OFSAA

A pair of North Bay athletes medalled at OFSAA at the Oshawa Civic Recreational Complex on Friday.

Algonquin's Tabitha Tremblay found gold in the Jr. girls Javelin with a winning distance of 34.99 M.

Tremblay edged Madeline McCloskey of Essex DHS, who finished with a distance of 34.83.

West Ferris Trojans Graham Hansal captured a bronze medal in the 2000 M Steeple Chase.

Hansal raced to a time of 5:50.26, which was 4 seconds ahad of his NOSSA winning time.

Port Hope's Jeremy Coughler raced to the 2nd best OFSAA 2000 M Steeple time of 5:38.87 to capture gold.

North Bay's Alain Boucher still holds the best OFSAA and Canadian Inter-Scholastic time of 5:37,76, set in 1982.

After his qualifying heat yesterday, Graham commented, "That was the most fun I have ever had in a race."
