Trappers take game one of playoff series

The North Bay Trappers took a bite out of the Valley East Cobras Friday night, sliding by the Sudbury area Snakes 5-4 at Ray Plourde arena. Adam Avison scored the game winner in overtime to break the 4-4 deadlock.

Adam Avison scored the game winner in overtime to break the 4-4 deadlock.

The win gives the Trappers an important 1-0 lead in the Great North Midget League best of 5 quarter final series.

The two clubs hook up again Saturday night in Valley East with games three and four back in North Bay next weekend.
