The North Bay Trappers begin their playoff journey tonight in game one of a best of 5 series against the Valley East Cobras at Ray Plourde arena. Game two will take place Saturday night in Valley East with games 3 and 4 back in North Bay next weekend. The two clubs split their season series 2-2, but Keenan believes his club is prepared to do something very special in the second season.

“I’ll be surprised if we don’t play our best hockey in the playoffs and I think our best hockey is yet to come, and we are certainly capable of beating anybody," Keenan insists.

"I don’t know if we are peaking at the right time but I expect us to peak at the right time."

Goaltending is always a key come playoff time and Keenan is giving the playoff goaltending nod to Andre Laperriere.

"Andre will be our #1 goalie throughout the playoffs as long as he performs, he’s earned the right to be the goaltender in the playoffs and I think he’s capable of carrying the rest of the team,” Keenan said.
