The North Bay & District Midget AAA Trappers improved their record to 5-0 with a convincing 5-1 win over the New Liskeard Cubs in Great North Midget League action on Sunday afternoon.

Eric Lachance, Jake Gravelle, Mason McMahon, Sam Garagan, and Joe Whittet had the goals for the Trappers.

The Trappers started the weekend with a 4-2 win over the Cubs in New Liskeard Friday night.

Joe Whittet led the Trappers with a pair of goals and singles went to Nick Wojick and Mason McMahon.

Drew Joyal got the win in goal for the Trappers.

Trappers head coach Guy Blanchard was impressed with the effort in the weekend home and home sweep of the Cubs.

"The kids work ethic is really good, we worked hard, we were on pucks we just have to be able to shorten up our shifts but I think our success is just hard work at both ends of the rink," said Blanchard.
