Trappers blow lead; fall in double OT to Nickel Barons

The North Bay Jr Trappers let a 3-1 3rd period slip away as Sebastien Leroux scored in the 2nd overtime period as the Sudbury Nickel Barons defeated the North Bay Jr Trappers 4-3 at the McLelland arena Wednesday night.

Braeden Pearl, Cole Klippenstein and Stephen Langford scored for the Jr Trappers.

Affiliate goaltender Sylvain Miron made 35 saves in his debut with the Trappers.

Andre Comtois scored all three goals for the Nickel Barons in regulation including a shorthanded marker with less than 3 minutes to play in regulation to tie the game and send it to overtime.

With the loss the Trappers fall to 12-2-2-3 on the season.

The Trappers next home game is Sunday, November 11th when they host the Abitibi Eskimos. Game time is 5 pm at Memorial Gardens.
