The North Bay & District U16 AAA Trappers took home one win during four 11 vs 11 non-contact Great North Midget League games against the Sudbury U16 AAA Wolves on Saturday night at Memorial Gardens.

The Trappers dropped the first game 3-2, fell 5-3 in game two, dropped a tight 2-1 decision in game three, and then finished with a 2-1 victory in the final game of the night.

"Some hard-fought games this weekend where we came out short, but there were a lot of good things to take out from Saturday," stated U16 AAA Trappers head coach Tyler Miller.

"The players are starting to buy in and adapt to the new style of play.  We thought we had possession for most of the games and more chances but we just couldn’t finish when we had the opportunity. Penalty shots definitely had hurt us on the scoreboard. We like what we see out there and we really like the group we have. We just need to trust the process and continue working on our game. We are heading in the right direction."

Meantime, the U18 AAA Trappers were scheduled to play four contests up north against the New Liskeard Cubs. However, due to a COVID-19 outbreak at a Temiscaming Shores area high school, those games were postponed.
