Jaimee Bull of North Bay took on the top women water-skiers in the world again this weekend as she competed in the slalom event at the Lake 38 Pro-Am Tournament in Tallahassee, Florida.

In the first qualifying round, Jaimee posted a score of two buoys @ 10.75 m (39.5 off), which put her in a four-way tie for second spot with Manon Costard of France, Whitney McClintock of Canada and Allie Nicholson of the USA.

Only three of the four women could advance to the finals after the first round, so all four skiers had to runoff against each other to see who would move on to the final round and who would have to attempt to re-qualify in the second preliminary round.

All four of the skiers had to start at the 11.25 m line length (38 off) and the three best scores would advance to the final round.

Allie Nicholson was the only skier of the four not able to run the 11.25 m line cold off the dock, so she did not advance to the final round.

In the finals, Jaimee scored three buoys @ 10.75 m to tie Manon for third Spot. Both Whitney McClintock and Regina Jaquess of the USA completed a full pass at the 10.75 m line. Regina scored 2 buoys at the 10.25 m  line length (41 off) to take the victory over Whitney.

Despite Jaimee tying Manon's scores in all rounds of the tournament, Manon was awarded third spot over Jaimee as Manon was the higher seed going into the tournament. This is the third tournament of the season that Jaimee has finished fourth to the world's best three slalomers despite being only 19 years old. Manon is the youngest to the top three skiers at 27 years of age.

Jaimee will remain in Florida to train for the U21 World Championships to be held in Edmonton in early July. She is currently ranked #1 on the U21 World Ranking List and has been chosen as part of the 6 person team to represent Canada in Edmonton.
