This past weekend close to 70 North Bay Titans swimmers participated in and hosted the NEOR Developmental #2 meet at the YMCA.
Renee Gagnon finished the weekend with 6 first place finishes including a new personal best time in the 200m individual medley. Other Titans obtaining top honors were Sofia Berardi, Aurora Buckley, Steve Cholette, Katelynn Hitchcock, Jesse Hives, Caitlyn Jones, Evan Kilroy, Sheldon Kilroy, Grace Liritzis, Meghan Norman, Jeremy Sallie, Quinn Schroeder, Megan Tom, Ryan Tom and Regine Wyss.
Silver spots went to Alexis Viczian, Noah Swain, Madison Piper, Connor Montgomery, Evan Lechlitner, Jaydan Jackson, Sydney Hughes and Keltan Baran.
Titans finishing in 3rd place were Jennifer Tripp, Chloe Hunt, Amy Niemela, Hailey Passmore, Talia Preston,Karly Saile, Katherine Tripp and Georgia Van Schie.
Many personal best times were achieved by Titans during this 2-day meet. Those swimming best times were Megan Zhou, McKenzie Webster, Katelyn Warner, Jenna Wall, Gavin Wall, Hunter Walker, Katlyn Van Horn, Savanah Thibeault, Ayden Ryk, Emma Ringuette, Jillian O'Donnell, William Mitchell, Aliya Marsh, Sheila MacDougall, Emilia Lainevool, Annika Lainevool, Emma Rose Kehoe, Dalton Houlder,William Fraser, Aiden Forth, Sally Dunhaime, Leah Dawson, Rayna Costello, Noelle Corazza, Emily Bolan, Amrita Bhattacharyya, Xander Barrett and Melanie Aiton.
For many Titans, this was their first time swimming at a competetive swim meet.
Canada Cup
While most of the Titans were swimming in North Bay this past weekend, Titans swimmer Brittany Pask was participating at Canada Cup in Etobicoke. Pask swam a time of 29.72 in the 50m backstroke event landing her a spot in the B final. Pask swam an impressive 29.98 in the final giving her a 13th place finish at this National level swim meet. She also swam personal best times in the 50m freestyle and 50m butterfly events.
Titans vs. Jr. A Trappers
The Titans will be hosting the 3rd annual Titans vs. Trappers swim meet on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the YMCA pool. It will be running during regular Titans practice time 3:30-5:30pm. This is always a fun event to watch.
