Titans compete at NEOR #3 in North Bay

More than 50 North Bay Titans swimmers ranging in age from 7-18 participated in the third regional developmental meet of the season this past weekend at the CFB North Bay pool.

Titans swimming personal best times and landing first place finishes were Evan Kilroy (11) swam a time of 47.36 in the 50m backstroke, Jacob Brost (14), 2:42.05 in the 200m backstroke, Leah Dawson (10), 51.92 in the 50m butterfly, Megan Tom (11) 38.30 in the 50m backstroke, 2:50.28 in the 200m IM, and 6:10.38 in the 400m IM, Meghan Norman (9) 20.60 in the 25m freestyle, Noelle Corazza (10) 24.69 in the 25m breaststroke, Quinn Schroeder (14) 35.73 in the 50m butterfly, and Sheldon Kilroy (8) 25.36 in the 25m freestyle.

Other Titans swimming to top spots were Aliya Marsh, Grace Liritzis, Jesse Hives, Katie Tripp, Noah Swain, Ryan Tom, Katelynn Hitchcock and Regine Wyss.

Second place spots went to Sofia Berardi, Emily Bolan, Jacob Brost, Joshua Gough, Kristen Gough, Dalton Houlder, Abbey Krajc, William Mitchell, Connor Montgomery, Karly Saile, Evan Lechlitner, Jenna Wall and Gavin Wall

Those swimming to 3rd place finishes were Jillian O'Donnell, Sheldon Kilroy, Chloe Hunt and Rayna Costello,
Many personal best times were achieved over the course of the 2-day meet.

Those swimming best times were Xander Barrett, Robinson Campbell, Sally Dunhaime, William Fraser, Julie Jonescu, Emma Lodge, Madison Piper, Emma Ringette, Ayden Ryk, Jenna Schultz, Jennifer Tripp, Alexis Viczian, Katelyn Warner, Sheila MacDougall and Megan Zhou.

Ontario Cup

Meanwhile, five of the Titans top athletes participated in Ontario Cup at the University of Toronto over the weekend.

This meet gathers top swimmers from all across the province.

Brittany Pask, Renee Gagnon, Steve Cholette, Dylan Jackson and Anisha Bhattacharyya represented the Titans well with strong swims at the meet. Gagnon swam a personal best time of 28.71 in the 50m freestyle event and Bhattacharrya swam a personal best time of 31.04 in the 50m butterfly. Pask swam to to 5th place finish in the 50m backstroke.
Next meet for many Titans is the Dave Kensit Regional 'A' Championship meet in Sault Ste. Marie from February 1st-3rd, 2013. This meet is for those swimmers from across the Northeast Region who meet the standard qualifying times in the various age categories. Good luck Titans!
