Three North Bay rinks qualify in Zone

Three North Bay Granite Club rinks will be heading to the Association playdowns next weekend in Sault Ste. Marie.

In the "B" qualifier Sunday afternoon, the John McClelland rink built up a 6-1 lead after 5 ends and hung on for an 8-4 victory in 9 ends over the Craig Haworth rink.

The Jeff Brown rink which lost Saturday night in the "A" qualifier, took advantage of their second chance in the "C" qualifier. With the score tied at 5-5 after 9 ends, Brown scored 4 in the 10th defeating the Ray Bastien team from Mattawa 9-5.

McClelland and Brown will join the Peter Minogue rink, which won the "A" qualifier Saturday night, at next weekend's Association playdowns.
