Thanksgiving Bronze for Ice Boltz at Clarkson U

The North Bay Midget AA Ice Boltz claimed bronze at a Thanksgiving University Showcase tournament this weekend at Clarkson Unversity in Potsdam, NY.

The Ice Boltz defeated the Brampton Canadettes 2-0 in the bronze medal contest. Taylor McManus and Taylor Murphy did the scoring for the Ice Boltz while Sabrina Picard kept the pucks out recording the shutout.

The Ice Boltz opended the tourney with a 4-0 win over the Ontario Hockey Academy. McManus, Murphy, Courtney Geisler and Julie Vaillancourt did the scoring in the opening win. Alexx Ridding recorded the shutout.

In their next game the Ice Boltz got another shutout as they blanked the Northe American Hockey Academy 3-0.

Alexane Papineau, Geisler and Murphy had the goals in their 2nd win of the weekend.

In their 3rd game the Ottawa Lady Senators defeated the Ice Boltz 4-1. Taylor Murphy had the lone goal in the loss.

In their next contest the Ice Boltz weathered the storm and beat the Cornwall Typhoons 3-2. Chloe Dion led the way with 2 goals.
