The North Bay Skyhawks are hoping to bounce back after their loss Friday night to the Abitibi Eskimos. That loss to Abitibi, combined with an Eskimo win Saturday night 6-3 over Sudbury, moves them two points up on the Hawks for first place in the Eastern Conference.

Skyhawks head coach Randy Edmonds believes Friday’s contest was a great learning experience for his younger players. However, he wasn’t pleased to see a number of undisciplined penalties on Friday night and he hopes that doesn’t carry over to Sunday’s game when they take on the Northern Michigan Black Bears.

“With the very inexperienced lineup that we’ve got, a young lineup, we have to have all 5 guys, 6 guys on the ice doing their little thing all the time to contribute, and when we’re relying on one or two guys to win it all the time sometimes you come up short.,” said Edmonds.

Ticket Redemption

All unused tickets dated before December 12th can be exchanged for a ticket for Sunday’s contest against the Northern Michigan Black Bears.

Bring your teddy!

Bring a teddy bear or purchase a teddy bear at the game, and when the Skyhawks score their first goal, throw your teddy bear onto the ice.
All those cuddly creatures will be donated to the Santa Fund, North Bay Firefighters toy drive, and other local groups in need of toys for Christmas.
