Skyhawks slide by Eskimos

The North Bay Skyhawks found the win column Thursday night as they upended the Abitibi Eskimos in Iroquois Falls Thursday night.

Michigander Nick Kulas scored early in the 3rd period to give the Skyhawks a 3-1 lead and the defending league champs hung on for a 3-2 victory.

Chad Camirand and Chris Pontes scored the other goals while former Algonquin Baron Nathan Hewitt chipped in with two assists. Ryan Douglas got the win in goal for the Skyhawks who improve to 1-2 on the season following back to back losses against the Sudbury Northern Wolves to start the season.
